After spending its first 10 years of business in Georgia, Infor announced plans in November to move its headquarters to New York City this summer to take advantage of the city’s software engineering talent pool, and the proposed engineering school the city is building in partnership with a consortium of universities. The move coincides with Infor’s plans to integrate its software with social networking applications such as Facebook and Twitter.
Double digit growth in 2011 is driving the move, says CEO Charles Phillips. “This state-of-the-art facility will enable us to hire and house developers and graphic designers to enhance the user experience and integrate social applications into the workplace, further advancing the speed of business for our customers.”
