If we go back through history...  There's always doom and gloom and it's always tied to generational issues.  Every year at graduation time in May, the newspapers recycle old articles with updates.  Now everyone is on the bandwagon looking at generational retirement.
Get the right person on the "bus" doing what they love...  They will work harder and retire later.
