People moving into key executive positions

Ron Phillips has been named senior vice president of employee engagement at Comcast Cable. Phillips previously served as vice president of human resources for Comcast’s West division in Englewood, Colorado, and vice president of HR in Comcast’s greater Chicago region. Before joining Comcast, he was senior manager of human resources for Ryder Transportation.

Clifton J. “Johnny” Laurent Jr. has been named vice president and general manager of Sage North America’s employer solutions business unit. He will be responsible for research and development, product management, product marketing and customer support for Sage employer solutions, which includes a portfolio of business management software and services.

Trey Campbell has been named president for the Americas at outsourcing and HR services company NorthgateArinso. In this role, Campbell will lead all management and operational in both North and South America. He previously was president and CEO of Accenture BPO Services. He has also held senior executive roles with Hewitt Associates and Exult Inc.

Suzy Johnson has been named director of the communication and marketing practice at ORC Worldwide. She recently served as communication director and account manager at Buck Consultants.

Elena Stella-McElrath has been named vice president of human resources at Shiseido Americas Corp. She recently served as executive director of human resources at Shiseido Cosmetics America. Stella-McElrath previously was human resources director at Clarins USA.

Michael O’Higgins has been named chairman of the board at Alexander Mann Solutions. He recently served as the firm’s chairman of the audit committee. O’Higgins previously was a managing partner at PA Consulting and a partner at Price Waterhouse Consulting.

Linda Madrid has been named senior client partner in the Legal Center of Expertise at Korn/Ferry International. She recently served as senior vice president and deputy general counsel at Federal National Mortgage Association (Fannie Mae). Madrid previously was managing director, general counsel, chief compliance officer and corporate secretary at CarrAmerica Realty and senior vice president, general counsel and corporate secretary at Riggs National Corp.

Mercer recently made these appointments:
Toni Brown has been named director of client consulting in the firm’s U.S. investment consulting business. Brown previously worked at Callan Associates, where she served as leader of the defined-contribution practice, manager of the San Francisco consulting office and senior consultant.
Eileen Kwei, Diana Greenstone and Mike Tadlock each have been named principal and senior consultant in Mercer’s San Francisco office. All previously worked at Callan Associates.

The Hartford recently made these appointments:
Mark Scalercio has been named national sales manager for government-sponsored retirement plans in the retirement plans group. He previously formed the company’s retirement consulting group. Scalercio also was managing director of field sales and client retention at Sun Life Retirement Services.
J. Michael Shamburger has been named national sales manager for corporate retirement programs in the retirement plans group. He recently served as vice president of the Southern division. Shamburger previously was vice president of institutional sales at Trusco Capital Management.

Ann Zeichner has been named managing director at Taylor Winfield. She recently served as a partner at Lonergan Partners. Zeichner previously held senior positions at NorthPoint Communications, 3Com, Ascend Communications, Cambio Networks, Fibermux and Micom.

Theo Rokos has been named CEO of GreenJobInterview.com. He recently served as senior vice president at the Royal Bank of Scotland. Rokos previously held leadership positions at Wolters Kluwer and Scantron.

Donald J. Riggin has been named senior consultant and head of risk financing at Spring Consulting Group. He recently served as practice leader, alternative risk solutions, at Albert Risk Management Consultants.

Steven Davis has been named senior vice president and COO of Tercon Consulting. He recently served as vice president of downstream business services at Exxon Mobil Corp. Davis previously was assistant corporate controller at Exxon Mobil and corporate controller at Mobil Corp.

Brian Fippinger has been named director of staffing at Trillium Solutions Group. He recently served as president at FTR. Fippinger previously was senior staffing consultant at Microsoft.

Bonnie W. Gwin has been named leader of the North American board practice at Heidrick & Struggles. She recently served as president of the firm’s Americas division. Gwin previously was global managing partner of the technology practice and managing partner of the firm’s North America quality council.

Michael Breault has been named CEO of Circles. He previously served as the company’s president, executive vice president and general manager.

Sara Sampson has been named senior vice president of marketing at Incentium (formerly VIPGift). She recently served as a vice president at Lifetouch. Sampson previously worked as senior vice president, Asia-Pacific, senior vice president, Midwest region, and senior vice president, national accounts, at Carlson Marketing Group.
